You lose some, you gain some I guess. After losing 3 pounds the first week, I gained 2 pounds back the second - and that week included a mini-sprint triathlon and two 2-mile runs.
But other than the ice-cream-for-dinner on Monday, I did well on nutrition and points. I don't dip much into the extra weekly allotment (so far). So what was different?
Beer. Beer was different.
I am mostly a wine drinker, and have found it easy to stick to a 5 oz pour most nights. But I also really like hoppy IPAs, and they pretty much only come in a 12 oz bottle. And that 12 oz bottle comes with 6 points, and apparently some poundage. On occasion, I've cut the pour to 6 oz by offering up the remainder to my husband...but still. And it was a beer kind of week.
Time for a do-over.
